ENGLAND

Dear Professor Landin:

\JI am \F5very\F1 pleased that you have accepted a position on the program
committee. Thanks to the ARPANET, I have already heard from several
of our colleagues; they too feel honored to serve with you.

As I said on the phone, this is not a conference on LISP implementation
or Artificial Intelligence programming. I expect such topics to be
present in the form of demonstrations for
edification/amusement of the attendees, but not represented as
sessions in the conference.

I am enclosing a semi-final draft of the Call for Papers; the final
details with North Holland are yet to be set. Those negotiations
will not effect the deadline for submission or the actual conference date;
the review period and the schedule for author's revisions may change slightly.

Again, thank you for accepting so graciously; it will be an exciting and
worthwhile endeavor. If I can be of any assistance please let me know.
